Anyone tried solo-travelling? Got any tips?
I’ve been thinking about travelling on my own for a while now, but I’ve never left the country on my own before and it’s safe to say I’m getting nervous just thinking about it 😬
I don’t want to let my nerves get the better of me but I also don’t want to be stupid and just go out into the world without a plan. Are there any other solo travellers on here that could give me some pointers or maybe suggest a few places to try first to ease me in gently? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, fellow solo traveller here! I can definitely relate to your first-trip nerves, it’s totally normal. I’d suggest starting small and working your way further out into the world. So for me, I started with European countries like France, Belgium, and Germany, as I’m from the UK and they aren’t too far away from home! Just take baby steps and stay in hostels to make some friends while you’re travelling. You’ll be travelling the world in no time!

That’s some great advice Andrew! @Caster I’d definitely say plan your days out so you know what you’re doing the entire time. Do your research of the area, find things to do, and just have fun! If you download the MyJuno app you can use that for any translation needs while you’re exploring and if you do make any friends along the way you can stay in touch with them, too. Good luck with your first solo adventure!
